Staggered-Stance Romanian Deadlift
A Romanian deadlift with one foot slightly behind, on its toes as a kickstand. Most of the load goes through the front leg, so it trains one side at a time without the balance demands of a full single-leg RDL.

How to perform
Starting position
Stand holding a barbell at your thighs with an overhand grip. Slide one foot back so its toes line up with the front heel, heel up; keep about 80% of your weight on the front foot.
Soften the front knee and brace.
Push the hips back and lower the bar along the front thigh with a flat back.
Stop when you feel a strong stretch in the front hamstring, usually around mid-shin.
Drive the hips forward to stand. Finish the set, then switch legs.
Breathing: Inhale as you hinge down, exhale as you stand.
Coaching tips
